Title: AGU engine on ME7.5, anyone done this?
Post by: zaoxdk on January 31, 2016, 01:16:22 PM
Hello,

I've just swapped an AGU engine onto a AUQ loom (ME7.5), the turbo was also moved over to the AGU engine. The VVT is therefore not hooked up, as the AGU does not have this. My question is, has anyone of you done this swap? If so do you have any suggestions towards mapping of the ECU, to make the engine run smooth, as the current map runs like something that came out of a horses ass.  :-[

Ive done it.

What have you swapped so far?

What are you wanting to keep/ remove from the AUM/me7.5 engine?

Just code out VVT and tune as normal?  Start with ORI, code out VVT with ESKONF and Bob's your uncle.

I've swapped the all parts of the AUQ engine over to the AGU engine (head and block). The only AGU parts used are the injectors and intake manifold. I was wondering if I should put some other injectors in it, as the AUQ ones didn't fit.  :)

So the AGU block and head remain, but all the sensors are swapped?  I thought the fuel rail was the difference, rather than the manifold.  I might be wrong though.  Aren't the plugs different too?  You'd need EV14 injectors (so AUQ etc).

Why didn't you just swap the whole AUQ in?  Don't start the "large port" thing.  Unless you're over 400 bhp, it's not needed man.  I'd just through an AUQ inlet and injectors at it. I'd also rather have VVT though.

The AUQ engine sadly, is dead as it blew a conrod out through the side, so that is the reason. Both injectors fit in both fuel rails, so they are interchangeable, but the problem is the size of the injector seats, which are different. The plugs are also the same. All sensors have been swapped from the old AUQ. The problem with using the AUQ inlet on the AGU is the ports, which will not match up, as the ports on the AGU head are, as you said - larger  :) But can't I just find some AGU type injectors with a flowrate matching the AUQ? And I also have a problem finding the ESKONF for coding out the VVT, it doesn't show up in TunerPro. Don't know if I'm doing anything wrong.  :-[

you should trim 12mm here to fit AUQ injectors. they are different to agu ones. check your lambda regulation and fuel trims, it can be switched off by the vvt error. eskonf you can find easily by searching AAFF00 pattern.

Thanks a bunch guys, I've finally found it, and changed the correct parameters. Learned a lot during this  ;D
