Title: XDF Compatibilty Question 06A906032FE / 06A906032HP
Post by: nordschleife on February 01, 2016, 12:56:24 AM
Apologies if this has been answered before.  I have searched and can't find an answer.

I have a 2001 Audi A3 1.8T as a donor car (AUM engine code).  The ECU is 06A 906 032 FE.

From factory, the AUQ engine is identical to the AUM - except for the map - the actual hardware is the same but the AUQ has 180bhp compared to 150bhp in the AUM.

At this stage I am not looking to tune the ECU for additional performance however I want to remove SAI, EVAP, etc as these are not present in the older car that I have fitted the 1.8T engine to.

On this site there a various XDFs however none are quite right for my FE ECU.  There are however many XDFs for slightly later ECU revisions such as HP.

I have attempted to work through creating my own XDF for my FE however part way through this process I had an idea.

Instead of creating my own XDF can I use the OEM Map from a 180bhp AUQ ECU 06A906032HP, flash this to my ECU and then use a more readily available XDF that already suits this ECU to delete SAI and EVAP?

Or do I need to continue to create my own XDF?

Many thanks.

I'd say so.  There's my HN file too on here with a defined .kp to match.  Could use that if you want. :)

Thanks.  It's probably the simplest option.

I'm going to have a bit of spare time on planes next week and if it works out I might have a go at making my own XDF anyway as a learning process.
