Title: VR6 24V & R32 OEM Reads
Post by: RBPE on May 20, 2016, 09:02:39 AM

Looking for any VR6 or R32 stock bins from Motronic 2 early 12V's through to the ST10's, mainly though the C167 mk4 Golf's like the V6 4motion (aka vr6 24v in some markets), preferably the twin vvt like BDE/BDF or mk4 R32's.

Main thing is that I am looking for a stock read that someone knows that;
1. it read correctly, and
2. it is either stock or you know what mods have been done like 02 deletes etc.

Thanks

Just posted mine in the definitions request thread if that helps, it's a 6 speed BDF (24v vr6)

Edit:  The ones I posted there are 022906032CS ver 0005 and 0006, if anyone happens to have the 1482 with the P0420 fix TSB that would be amazing =)

Where are they from Jim?
I've got pretty much everything from the internet with these and the various DAMOS packs but they're usually pretty poor which is why I am looking for someone or a pro mapper who can say - "I took this read from my/a customers car" ideally and knows it's a proper stock read so I can build it up and compare what's right and wrong in them quicker.

032CN I have done but if it is a stock read then yep I'll defo have it and have a play. 032E's I've also done to various degrees from the files posted up on here and is the 032HJ a proper one? I know there's a file floating about that is touted as being a VR6 one but it's not. 06A906032HJ springs to mind on that one which is a 20vt file but if it's a proper 022906032HJ then yep I'll have a play with that too if you have it?

These are the various ones I have done so far;

032HJ = TT 3.2 BUB

032CN = R32 BUB

032HJ = TT 3.2 BUB

032CN = R32 BUB

I meant where are the reads from? DAMOS/A2L your own reads off your own cars etc?

Stick them up if they're stock/correct reads you know about

Heres from my car TT 2007 V6 ST10 ori read from the car... partial read from flash. 1024Kb  This is the car im working on right now. Ive been testing around a year now with turbo. Still walking around in darkness..  :o(

I recently bought an 032CN ECU from R32 and flashed it with my TT file.. Worked like a charm..  "I think"..  I noticed that the 032CN file has its data at diffrent locations.. still the same engine code (BUB).

I'll have a play and let you know of some areas picked out - these ST10's are a pain though compared to the C167's but I've done a few so far, thanks Jim.

Is this a stock read of a stock car - if so, it's weird! The voltages on MLHFM are halved which is usually an after-market mod and some weird little figures cropping up here and there in some of the maps! It's weird because MLHFM is some strange low value at the bottom end but blends into the same figures as a dodgy DAMOS file that floats about at the top end - completely different to any other stock one I've done?  ???

Yes that has also made me a bit confused.. I asked here on the forum long time agou about this.. I could read negative values..  I have no clue at all ? What do you think..

Wait a sec.. hmm.. hmm..  I have only found a map 129x1 (MSHFMU)  i cant find MLHFM? so i thought this MSHFMU must be MLHFM ??

I have to double check that i didnt send you an edited file  :-\ Are you looking into an TT MK1 File?  I have the MK2

I've only spent a few hours on it but I used about 6 different ME7.1.1. ecu's for defining it, including a Porsche one, not just the TT DAMOS.

It looks like it is modded, MLHFM is very funny really on it though with the values!

It's coming up as a TT file..

MLHFM seems off?

MLHFM position attached if you're going to stick with it;

Thats very strange... The file i have should be the ORI.. My tuner told med so.. Maybe he messed up the file and sent me a bad copy?   MLHFM ist even in my DAMOS file? So this means i have edited the wrong MAF curve the whole time?  jeeezus.. i must go through this.. Still the car runns really awsome right now..

It's an 032HJ TT file like you said earlier but doesn't look right. I've not spent any time on it since because of that.

Quickest way you can probably build your own def file is this;

1. I did this quickly, looked good from what I looked at in terms of map structure but may have to invert one or some other simple tweak but good to start with and pick out addresses if you line them up in winols demo. Ignition always seems to need a manual tweak in offsets though and it only took me an hour or so manually so best to double check just in case.

2. The files attached are ols from stock ones either on here or from this page; (not sure if they are stock or just taken from forums like this one but you can look and see in hex - mlhfm seem good as can be seen on the attached ones);

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=5336.0

3. As far as I am aware the V6's use the 62mm ID HFM 5 and the 3.2's/R32's use a 71mm one but with diff part numbers - as you can see the low and high flow measuring ranges vary slightly so you'll get slightly different figures as can be seen in the mlhfm files attached;

http://www.maf2maf.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Bosch-HFM5-Sensors.pdf

They should line up perfectly between models on stock files and also line up KFSZT as that lines up too on these as they are the same values. You should be able to add or define some areas a bit easier then.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or dodgy file or what with the 032HJ but you can see the mlhfm's and post map offsets are the same between models posted below in the mlhfm files. Yours was 5000+ flow at the top end which I have only seen on a TT DAMOS file and always assumed it was a bad def file!? Either way, they're all usually around 1000kg/hr mark stock as you can see:

P.S. I have only really had to deal with the models I have listed, I know the late Porsche ME7.1.1.'s use MSHFMU but as I had little call to play with them. The thing with late ME7.1.1. is that they seem to use a blend of ME7 and MED9 so will double check - you might not have MLHFM on yours then and just that one and I'll check some MED9 files too and put the screenshots up to see what the figures look like in them.

It does seem like one of the Porsche type of late hybrid ME/MED ecu's so looks like it uses the MSHFMU rather than MLHFM.

 I found the MSHFMU map originally but took it off to try other HFM styles and then was too tired to find it again as it was late - some bits added though and attached.

Looks like some late nights and some reverse engineering to be had with it!
