Title: ME7EEPROM tool help/issue Post by: trb1 on December 28, 2016, 05:39:36 PM I've tried absolutely everything to connect to my ECU in bootmode. I cannot read or write in bootmode. I have tried multiple ECUs and multiple cables.
Here's what I'm dealing with. ECU is definitely in bootmode. verified with Galletto. I have read the ECU's EEPROM via OBD successfully with the tool and have also read/flashed the flash memory with Galletto. My cable has an FDTI FT232RL chip in it and I'm using VCP drivers. It also is NOT a ross tech cable, although I am getting the same error from that cable. This particular ECU is a 06A906032NK me7.5 ECU out of a 2004 1.8t vw. These are the errors I'm getting below, no matter what cable or ecu I use. I have tried several me7.5 ecu's: C:\Users\Tom\Desktop>me7 -wp3 --bootmode 95040 95040.bin ME7_EEPROM v1.40 COM: 3, Baud Rate: 10400 Memory type: 95040, size: 512 Opening COM3 ... OK Starting Boot_mode ... uC ID response 0xFF. Unknown ID. (error=0x40201) Closing COM3 C:\Users\Tom\Desktop>me7 -wp3 --bootmode 95040 95040.bin ME7_EEPROM v1.40 COM: 3, Baud Rate: 10400 Memory type: 95040, size: 512 Opening COM3 ... OK Starting Boot_mode ... FAIL ... No ECU response.
