Title: 95160 chip eeprom immo
Post by: Jrock234 on January 01, 2017, 12:24:06 PM
Searching, reading, learning.  Me7.1.1 ecu has 95160 eeprom.  Using ME7 I can read and save a file.  The layout (in hex editor) doesn't look anything like all the 95040.bin(s) I've downloaded, which are 512k files and mine is a 2048k eeprom (correct?).  I've tried writing back the .bin file I saved from the ecu's 95160 eeprom and it only wrote once I believe.

I can read the eeprom no problem, only when testing the write option (with orginal .bin file) it gets a "verifying eeprom write fail (error=0x70101) everytime".  Tried cycling ecu (always loading boot mode (pin 24), power cycles on the computer itself (desktop), disconnecting reconnecting cables.

The end objective is to off the immo, I'm understanding that the 95160 hex format is different and I couldn't upload a 512k immo off .bin file to eeprom even if I say me7 --bootmode 95040?  (which I've tired but again keep getting 0x70101 fail verifying eeprom write error.

Same problem on me7.1.1
Error, while i need to write...
I just install this eeprom (95160) on me7.5, writed it and then reinstall on me7.1.1
Or if u have xprog u can do it much easier...
Maybe this problem is on all me7.1.1 ecus
