Stumbling on a problem of airbag light on. As Cayenne is relatively close to Q7 and Touareg I have tried to access airbag module with VCDS Lite. So far I have not been able though. From Renntech I found that trick could be to connect pins 3 and 7 and with that I was able to access few more CUs than before (first only ECU and Transmission was found). Now another issue is that my blue cable died on me again. Old Passat fried the cable and even usb controller of my laptop. I have been able to use Volvo FCR cable with VCDS, but I'm not sure if that is fit for airbag unit, even with the pin 3 and 7 connected. I have found that Durametric would be the tool to go with Porsches but as I should get the car fixed fast can't actually order and wait the cable to arrive. Beside, as this is not my car but friends, who is planning to sell it soon, that seems bit pricey for "one time use". Now, has anyone tried to use Durametric with other cable, or if someone has one at hand, could you try it? And if someone knows if there is another pin that should be used for airbag communication (other than 3 or 7) that would be great info. Best regards Lauri |
