Title: MED9.1 biger maf calibration
Post by: teobolo on December 06, 2017, 01:22:41 AM
Hi to all , i m about  to calibrate a 90mm custom maf in a Audi s3 -tfsi car .I have read the ME7.5 wiki in which maps to touch but i think i m missing somethinng. To be more specific i have not manage to found any MLHFM map on the med.1 i only found KLAF & MSHFMTPH should i start from those maps? and then finalize idle and low loads corection with KFKHFM ? i m open to any income .

MED9.1 does not have the map MLHFM. I can't comment 100% on the proper method (yet) but I should have some answers shortly. Did you search through the forum yet?

MED9.1 2.0 TFSI has MSHFMTPH, because it uses mshfm_w instead of ml_w. Also the MAF output isn't a voltage anymore (uhfm_w) but a PWM signal (tpmshfm_w).

so i should start with MSHFMTPH ? Should i calculate how much % biger is the maf housing diameter accoriding to oem housing and then multiply that value to MSHFMTPH?This is the way i calculate biger maf calibration in to japanese cars .

There is a dos app that will load the map automatically find the maf scalar automatically , ask for the old size and the new size and increase and dump the modified file..

maybe not usefull for your application, but good for voltage vs g/s maf rescaling

Is your maf calibration sorted?

Yes, with the maps o mention and some fine tuning from FKKVS it is fine
