Title: 95040 revo flash and de-immo
Post by: carsey on February 10, 2018, 08:55:56 AM
Hi all

Ive got a ECU here that a lad wants de-immobilising and a few deletes.  SAI, N249 and the evap.

Powered the ECU up on the bench,  read the file off with MPPS.   Read the EEPROM with 95040 tool, did the immo with the tool, confirmed it was off with the --status option.  I did note the original EEPROM read had a checksum error as shown below with readout of tool.

EEPROM Status:
- VIN: WVWZZZ1JZ3W452876 (VW 2003 - Golf and Bora 4, Wolfsburg, Germany)
- SKC: 07256
- Immobiliser: On
- Checksum: Invalid Checksum
- Size: 512bytes
- Cluster Code: C8 43 FC E4 78 11
- P0601 DTC: not set
- Immo ID: WZ6Z0B0412790

Did the immo off via the tool and confirmed off.  Flashed back on,  passed verification.

C:\>95040tool\95040tool.exe --in C:\95040tool\95040Beaumontimmooff.bin --status
95040 Eeeprom Tool - 0.1 - No warranty implied or given, manually verify all changes before saving eeprom to ECU, this tool could cause permenent damage to ECU and prevent vehicle running

EEPROM Status:
- VIN: WVWZZZ1JZ3W452876 (VW 2003 - Golf and Bora 4, Wolfsburg, Germany)
- SKC: 07256
- Immobiliser: Off
- Checksum: OK
- Size: 512bytes
- Cluster Code: C8 43 FC E4 78 11
- P0601 DTC: not set
- Immo ID: WZ6Z0B0412790

Had a look at the flash, I pulled off before bootmode to do the necessary deletes and noticed it looked tweaked,   seen it was a revo file as revotechnik code at bottom and additional coding in the spare FF space at bottom.

So, brings me to ask here.

Can I do a de-immo on the EEPROM without any negative effect on the working of the flash and EEPROM combination that revo have?

Also, can I do the necessary deletes through codewords, turn SAI off via ESKONF and still have a working flash at the end of it thats going to start the car?

Ill attach the EEPROM read and immo off, but leave the flash due to commercial tunes.
