I have a working MPPS v16 clone cable with successful flashes on Audi S3 and Golf R however not able to read correctly from Audi S5 4.2v8 1st gen med 9.1 - not able to read ecu and despite connecting battery charger unable to proceed. Any ideas? Thank you! Is the S5 the only med 9.1 you've tried to read with your MPPS? have you tried any other interfaces (Vag-Com, Kess, Ktag, Galletto, etc.)? I'll be working on the R8 (first gen) 4.2 in about a month, but unfortunately, I don't have my 2008 S5 4.2 any more to try it out. My only guesses at this point are that I have seen some of the clone devices read poorly with certain MED and ME versions (happened to me with a 2011 Q5 2.0T), so it's always good to have an alternative interface to try. Also, the 4.2 s5 loves the battery, are you connected to a constant 12v power source? Let us know how you get along. -mc |
