Title: Timing retards bam 1.8
Post by: pathanas on September 04, 2018, 10:47:50 PM
Hello,I am working on my audi tt 1.8 and getting some retards on high RPM.
My trims are near 1 on idle and part
Is that from knock sensor voltages?

upload the untouched csv  ::)

What did you use to log? The logfile is pretty awful.

Retard doesn't look that bad though, just pull a bit of timing...?

Boost is way over the map sensor also I see...

I used me7 logger.that is my first log :)I was using vag com
A have a gtx2867 and on this log I am hitting 30,5 psi of boost on 7200rpm.
I was thinking to enrich a little on red line to avoid the retard corrections at first...?

I just trying to find the reason of that retard, the knok voltages are not more than 30v EGT and IAT are not too high.

Why are your separators ; and not commas?

A lot of those values are plain wrong, are you sure you are using the right .ecu definition for your bin?

It's been editted/cut.  I bet foreign/incorrect CSV format.

The file is exactly how it's been saved from logge, I did only delete the first lines information
On the ecu definitions for the ecu do you mean these I am using on winols?

In order to create the tamplate file I used the modified bin

Please do NOT UPLOAD EDITED CSVs

The values you are logging are very wrong. Something is amiss.

What do you mean by edited cvs?
What was edited?

only use ecuxplot to open the logs and nothing more

not necessary to delete something from the file

I bet foreign/incorrect CSV format.

Yea, for languages that use commas instead of decimal places, csvs end up semi-colon separated. In any case, that isn't a problem, ECUxPlot can handle semicolons.

the problem is most of the values logged are completely wrong.

here is my log, all the problem was the windows regional setting and nothing else

Are you kidding me? You are going to grenade your turbo if not your motor. You are boosting way past the MAP limit.

And you aren't logging anywhere near the things needed.

Not even req boost? WGDC? WTF?

EBC is the reason and not doing the pressure reading 5120 hack is the answer...but lets come back to the first question of that post finally: the ignition corrections. Due to iat , high knock voltages?

-4 is not a lot of retard. Pull 4 deg timing req 4750 rpm and up, and get rid of that spike at 4800, or pull some boost. No way of knowing which makes more power w/o a dyno.

Ideally you really should consider 5120.
