Title: BMW E30 with swapped e34 engine with e36 325TDS ecu
Post by: AbolsLV on January 12, 2019, 09:28:28 AM
Hi everyone
Yes, it's for my car.
Can someone help me out finding maps?
I kinda can found the maps but don't know that they are.
I really need help from someone a little bit to understand it.
The car doesn't have airmass meter.
If someone can please inform me how to convert those numbers correctly or some other magical way, please let me know.
ECU REF
0281001201
Soft 2287358710 & 2287358806

All I want is to make rev limiter(popcorn) and add more "power".

Oh yea sure best answer ever "Google friend". Like you said "there are plenty of tutorials online explaining the BMW ecus" but I need only MSA - 11 and I found MSA - 11 guide but still It helped a little bit because the maps in every chip are in a different location and table size is different too so yea it's hard to do it. For example, I can't get my smoke limiter to look the same as in MSA - 11 guides online.
When someone answers with "Google" then you know he doesn't know about that thing at all...

first google hits when using your ecu number and the word maps

also a few of your posts :D

any who I went ahead and attached the XDF file posted in the tuner pro forums for your ECU number as well as the dump that the XDF is based off of I dont think the e30 has an EWS system but you shouldnt need to thwart IMMO

Hopefully it helps you out here is the thread it was located at: http://www.ecuconnections.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26140&sid=2a5d78774b5426c183434a11f37391ea

MAP sensor based TDS is different to later ones, I got through it with IDA Pro, at least when I was doing it there was no info available online anywhere. Boost cut I also found with IDA.
I made a couple cars with VNT turbo and bigger injection pump, they worked quite well. tool32 can be used to log the car quite OK if you make a job and put it on repeat, I used some screen capture software to actually record the log.

I have an OLS project somewhere, but you most likely don't have paid OLS so it's useless to you, also the maps are useless if you don't know how they work.

Really this stuff is not THAT easy with 0 info, especially when it comes to how the smoke limiter works what is multiplied by what and how the boost cutoff works.
If you only can work with XDF and can't look inside binary and find stuff, then you probably won't get very far.

Half correct the first link...
The second link I only got 1 useful thing Torque limiter(What I found before that) so not useful, not correct locations for my hexdump.
Third link what should I see there? some random maps, without any names?
That XDF file information about the quantity adjuster is just WTF? in 140 rpm in 00 it's 10 but in 360 rpm it's 4970? like really? There are only  a lot of spikes... again not useful :(
