Title: write the 93cs56

hi i have here a 93cs56. On the Chip is write: cs566. I classified as ST93cs56 an i can read. But i cant write. Any One know how i can write on the EEprom? I use Galep 4 and Carprog

its from a MK3 with 1ho919880Q Motometer

did you desolder it or are you trying to write it with a clip?

I have never had any problem using cheap EZP2000 or tl866 programmer

Check protection flags

Two flag bits are used to indicate the Protection
Register status:
– Protection Flag: this is used to enable/disable
protection of the write-protected area of the
M93Sx6 memory
– OTP bit: when set, this disables access to the
Protection Register, and thus prevents any
further modifications to the value in the
Protection Register.

yes i desolder.

i found a option in my Galep but i think the eeprom is dead.... i cant write.... i can erase its all FF, the i open my backup, in Options from Galep i set Protection Register FF. Tehn i Writ but he dont write...
