Title: Repairing EGT sensor. 1.8T
Post by: carsey on October 06, 2019, 08:07:46 AM

I was silly enough to pull the braided wire out the of actual probe.  I’ve removed the silver crimped section and have access to the wires.

Does it matter which way round the wires go?  I guess it’s a resistance based sensor so the orientation of the wires wouldn’t matter but would like someone to confirm before I put it back together.

Chris

It is K-type termocouple, It produce voltage as it getting more heat. So polarity is important
