Title: how do i know which memory layout is right. Post by: Nickpe802 on February 13, 2020, 08:48:15 AM reading my ecu and don't know the correct memory layout. it is a 06a 906 032 mt from a mk4 2.0. for the 1.8ts I do 800bb but don't know if its right for the 2.0. thanks.

Post by: dilly on February 15, 2020, 08:19:15 PM if it is a 400bb rom but you read 800bb you can just split the file in your choice of hex editor. reading with wrong layout will just potentially mess up the file you save to your computer. writing to the ecu with the wrong layout is what is wrong.
