I'm trying to figure out what generation of ecu's were used in the mk3 OBD II era. My brother swapped a 97 Passat vr6 into his golf, along with its ecu, a few years back. I can't get a hold of the ECU part number as the car is in storage. Been searching online for the past week and can't seem to find a definitive generation.
