Title: setting 0280158117 for e85 1.8t
Post by: JeanAwt on October 23, 2022, 10:49:36 AM
stock engine awt frp 4bar
original injector 0280156065
KRKTE=0.10478
KVB=298.59375

I want to put
0280158117
with 340l/h pump for e85

are there other maps to adjust?

but I find different calculation krkte

0280158117 makes 588cc for 4bar
Displacement of a cylinder
0.45dm3
KRKTE pump fuel = 0.056225766

KRKTE ethanol = 0.083867961

it's no good?

are there other maps to adjust?

TVUB
TEMIN(/VA)
Final fine-adjustment: FKKVS

with krkte calculator:

Air density (0  C and 1013hPa)                 -->            1   g/dmˆ3
Displacement of a cylinder                        -->            0.44525   dmˆ3
Valve constant with n-Heptane               -->            376.2   g/min
Valve correction for petrol/n-Heptane -->            1.05
Air/fuel ratio for Lambda = 1.0                 -->            14.7
Adaptation of units                                       -->            0.00001667   min/ms

Injectors flow rate =      550   cc/min

      KRKTE pump fuel =      0.05947596

Ethanol content                       -->            85   %

Stoich value on Ethanol       -->            9.855

      KRKTE ethanol =      0.08871604

I know it won't be perfect because I'm a reprog noob
I can adjust with unisetting  ::) ???

thank TeknoFi,

complicate for a noob :( ???
on the site I found:
0280158117
58psi/4bar
8v 3.2
10v 1.61
12v 1.155
14v 0.75
16v 0.540
question from noob do i have to modify TVUB? it's my daily to go to work every day. i just want him to swallow e85 and a little more boost ;D

It's highly recommended to put TVUB values according to the injectors. It is the dead time / opening lag. Operating pressure also affects it a bit, but not as much as krkte.

thank you, can someone check my calculations? i took an average of 75% ethanol.in france
In summer (early May to late September): between 75% and 85% In winter (mid-November to mid-March): between 65% and 75%
I have the maps
KVB
FKKVS
TVUB
KRKTE
KFLF

KRKTE Calculator

Air density (0  C and 1013hPa)                 -->            1   g/dmˆ3
Displacement of a cylinder                        -->            0.44525   dmˆ3
Valve constant with n-Heptane               -->            430.92   g/min
Valve correction for petrol/n-Heptane -->            1.05
Air/fuel ratio for Lambda = 1.0                 -->            14.7
Adaptation of units                                       -->            0.00001667   min/ms

Injectors flow rate =      630   cc/min

      KRKTE pump fuel =      0.05192345

Ethanol content                       -->            75   %

Stoich value on Ethanol       -->            10.425

      KRKTE ethanol =      0.0732158

TVUB
8v 3.2
10v 1.61
12v 1.155
14v 0.75
16v 0.540
I can try "my" calculation? or it's bad? I understand the basics setting but calcul it's complicated for my little industrial mechanic head :-\ ;D

sorry for my anarchic noob posts

Seems reasonable. I would say do a test driving with those but keep eye on fuel trims. Then correct long fuel trim deviations in percentage to krkte.

thanks again TeknoFi ;D

 yes do a driving test and look trims. I know my calculations are not very good but I think the best is setting log setting log....and big gas

I still have a lot to learn and a lot of maps to find

sorry for my english/french+google translate :-X ::)

and TVUB is good to try? original for 0280156065 is
1.88
1.09
0.69
0.44
0.27
i can try for 0280158117
TVUB
8v 3.2
10v 1.61
12v 1.155
14v 0.75
16v 0.540

Air/fuel ratio for Lambda = 1.0                 -->            14.7

A question. The stoichiometric value of e85 is 9,76 and gas is 14,7.

Should you not change to 9,76 since you run on e85? Or am I missing something?

KRKTE changes quite drastically when changing this value.

lambda is lambda. your conversion factor is afr gauge calibrated to gasoline. Target lambda will not change, just the injection quantity will need to be increased to get to lambda of 1. Hint: calculate krkte for pump gas then add 40% to that value and you will have a ballpark krkte for e85.

yes Andy the value of the primary fuel will have to change a lot in E85 with original injectors but I go almost from 300cc to +600cc 0.07 is only a basic value that I found with the krkte calculator and I I put an average value of 75% E85. And yes the goal is lambda 1.

Don't know who andy is and what you say makes no sense. You need to take base fuel pressure into account when doing rough calculations. Once you have the base calculation for the  larger injectors on pump fuel, add 40% to that mixture and it will be really close.

And your average values come from where exactly? I work with the French market and there's very rarely over 72% ethanol in the pump "E85" that's sold there, and in winter in certain regions it drops to below 60% ethanol. Without a sensor you'll never know how much there is and yet you were so adamant that pros were offering "flexfuel" tunes WITHOUT A SENSOR, LOL! This thread is getting ridiculous.

again this is a hooby.yes i factored in my frp of 4bar.i prefer to ride too rich than too lean to begin with.post ridiculous if you will....i doubt anyone is born in knowing the alcohol level in France ... (but now I know it) I understood that the "noob" was not accepted thank you.

It's not about not being accepted, it's about the fact that you haven't even read all the basics like the wiki etc, and then come on here and make statements that make most of the longtime users of this forum spit their coffee all over their keyboards, and then you go and act all frustrated and mad at us for not "accepting the noob", which isn't even true. You're welcome here as is everyone, but don't expect someone else to do the job for you or to hand it to you on a silver platter. Also when 10 people tell you the same thing, it's time to question your knowledge rather than act all pissed off and making yourself feel "not accepted". Everyone has been a noob one day, and I mean EVERYONE.

1 I read the wiki but I didn't understand everything.2 Welcome? We don't have the same definition of the word I think...3 I wasn't asking me to do the work or a reprogramming.4 I am angry? no, I no longer have the impression that I am being prevented from learning, it's different.
