Title: ME7.3.1 HA005 (0261206716) Alfa 156 1.6
Post by: persuader on August 06, 2013, 11:13:19 PM
Hi everyone, my first post here. Such an informative community, hope some of you can help me out :)

So there's this ECU, which i'd need to flash, and i couldn't figure out a way to do it. I tried everything i can find all over tne interwebs :)
Galletto says "boot mode inactive" i tried it in and out of the car(yes i grounded pin20 for 5 sec). I made a simple little bench setup, with a 400w ATX  PC power supply. I could use fiatecuscan and the blue FT232BL chip cable no problem with this setup, so k-line is working properly.. Also tried galletto cable (1260 with FT232R chip) with fiatecuscan, it worked well.
I also put a big chunk of hope to NEF software, so success sadly with my blue cable.|Is there any special settings i have to change to make it work? I even tried to make my blue cable a galletto clone by writing the serial in, but i found that this chip is non writable one..

HALP :)

In Brazilian Mareas 2,4 (with 3.1 variant) You must keep the pin 20 in GND all the way, you turn on ignition (injection lamp Off), make ID, is says to turn ignition OFF for 2 minutes and turn on again...so it´s able to read or Write

PS: I never wait 2 minutes to read or write

No luck sadly... I can only try it on the bench. The car is about 200km's away at my parent's house (kinda lucky not on a side of some road) I can check the ecu warning light witha a multimeter. Which level is which? As i power it up normaly, the voltage stays low (pin46). I think this represents light on. When i ground pin 20, it reads about 3.5 volts.

I made with MPPS in the car, Just open the conector case, use a Wire with an nedle and ground pin 20 and works like a charm...but again, there was ME3.1

Yesterday i translated the galletto manual and it says pin20 all the way too. Even though the program says 5 sec in the message box :)
I tried it in the car firstly as you just sad, but i just grounded it for 5 sec. Nex tie i'll get around the car i'll try that with fulltime pin20 ground..

Hi,

I have done many ME7.3.X from the Gruppo. You cannot do these ECUs via OBD because the seed key is disabled from the factory.
I enable this seed key and do it via OBD with no problem!

For any other case you have to do it via boot mode!

Boot mode works fine with galletto. That's enough for me right now. My problem now is that i can't find a proper immo off (HW:0261206716 SW:1277356447) I found a 0261206707 immo off, and it works well, but gives strange fault codes ..I think it's for 2.0 147..
My immo box decided to die, and it's a bit expensive to replace :|

Hi there,
old thread i know,
but does securityaccess work after enabling the seedkey ?

With this working we could finally log ME7.3.1...
