Noob questions: 1. can i flash binary file using Kess or VCP via OBD interface? 2. is it possible to overwrite the ECU which has 0261S04951 with 0261S04952? The HW part number and revision are exactly the same. i checked from http://bed.kmtech.fr/index_en.php, both 0261S04951 and 0261S04952 are compatible. please advise. Thanks. A noob here too hahahah 1.Yes you can flash a file that you read through OBD modify it and flash it back using the same tool. Make sure that if you use different tools for reading and writing that you check and compare files so that the file is not offset(ted) somehow. 2.Yes you should be able to do that (as if you're cloning an ECU, however it needs to be done through bootmode and you need to have a EEPROM and Flash dumps! Never tried it yet but I will in my spare time using a space ECU I have in hand using MPPS. Best of luck! |
