Title: Lambda values from component protection since stage1 remap
Post by: dgpb on September 19, 2014, 03:14:48 PM
Hi mates. I'll try to be as short and clear as I can. For those who want more info, this is my thread http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=6638.0

Engine: AUM
Mods: None
Remap: (just called it stage1, but it's more like a beginner stage0.5) Allow left-foot braking, nmax to 7100, higher LDRXN.

In the first remap I put the maximum value of ldrxn to 150
Logged and showed very rich lambdas and actual load not reaching specified.

In the second remap I decreased maximum value of ldrxn to 142 (The exact same shape of actual load in the first logs, but a bit higher)
Logged and Lambdas reamained the same and actual load decreased (??????)

The lambdas I think are for an excessive intake temp (the maximum logged 66ºC), but I can't understand the decreased actual load, if requested were a bit higer than actual in the first remap

My questions are:
What's causing that lambdas? I supose is KFLBTS (Requested lambda depending on rpm and load, for component protection), but I'm not sure what is causing it to run
What options to fix it are there? (just by electronics, not thinking in upgrade anything yet except maybe a twin cone air filter)

I attach logs after 1st remap, logs after 2nd remap and an excel graph with LDRXNs (The colours are: Red=AUM stock, Blue=AUQ Stock, Green=1st mod, Orange=1st mod knock, White=Actual load logged in 1st remap, Yellow=2nd mod)

Here the graph and the .cvs

Don't do this.

Please attach the RAW .csvs.

Don't make us unpack a rar or open excel.

Also, please dont' log with VCDS.

What is a RAW .csv? I'll do it with no problem

Just packed it in rar because i thought it would be easier to download

And, yes, I know... me7logger, the next time I log anything will be using that. But until I yesterday didn't know it, sorry

Don't do this.

What not to do? the cone filter? or tuning my flash?

cone filter.

It will change your MAF readings.

What is the problem? turbulences cause non true readings? I was wondering about it. (Putting the filter just before the MAF)

What lambdas do you recommend at high throttle and high revs with this levels of boost? (In this rpm range, between .8 and .9 bar)

What lambda were you seeing?  Have you altered fuelling maps?  lamfa or KFLBTS?

LDRXN might not be being met because the boost pid duty cycle isnt allowing it

What do you recomend?

Tuning kflbts or increasing the egt threshold for its activation?

And im affraid exceeding egt threshold enables, for example, timming advance for component protection and "anything" for component protection...

Am I right?

No. TABGBTS is only used in lambts. Read the FR.

Ah ok, perfect.

I'll do it, but what is FR?

So, I'm gonna correct low lambda values from KFLBTS.

As I'm already on work, should I tune Ignition timming maps? or stock are pretty OK for this tunning leves? (soft stage1)

You will probably want to run a touch more timing.

Get fuel and boost where you want them, then log and dial in timing at the load sites where needed remembering to interpolate with other values nearby.  tune car to roughly -6CF max

Thanks for your ask, but I dont undrrstand "6cf"

Does it mean 6°btdc?
Does it mean 6° more than the stock value?

6 less than requested due to knock control. Please consult the FR..

Stupid reason to ask, but what plotting software is that? I like the look of it. No offense to Nyet your ish is the bomb, just for logs I'd like to show off to other the graphics are spiffy! lol
