Title: community stage 3 2.7t
Post by: S4addict on February 11, 2015, 06:22:39 AM
hello all i would like to join on making a stage 3 file while making a worthy guide to read from along the way.
i currently have a 2001 audi s4 with fueling on route from 034 mods list i will be working with is.
034 hitachi maf
ev14 injectors
aem fuel pump
devils own meth injection
2.0 coil mod
aem wideband for safety
i should have the rest of fueling by friday and will be ready to start flashing and logging for now i will post up
tune changes i have found to be correct for ev14 injectors and hope to get some good conversation going here

Intresting. Petrol or E85??

Title: Re: community stage 3 2.7t
Post by: S4addict on February 11, 2015, 10:37:51 AM
yes gas 93 to be exact.
or atleast for me it will id love to do e85 as well just for the sake of adding more data to this thread but we dont get e85 :-\
does my krkte look more based for corn fuel?
also at one point i will be walking through adding meth to the equation but better to get it running good on pump gas first then add the meth

Your settings look good enough to start finetuning. I would stick towards the rich side of things (treat them as if they were 10% smaller) just to be safe.
Be advised, you will definitely need to work your way with a wideband sensor towards adjusting them a bit more other than the latency and size values you have inserted.
Also make sure that your maf element is properly calibrated and in good condition before you attempt finetuning your injectors. They tend to affect each other.

yes i understand that im gonna be really careful about playing around with fueling numbers
my picture post is just injector stuff and making sure thats right then i can move on to editing others to get a good base file going

sorry i cant seem to edit my posts so i keep making new ones
http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Mass_air_flow this little bit of information is like gold!
i found out the stock is 73mm so later i will use the program to scale the maf from my stage two file to get my 85mm maf scaling

faceplam i didnt even see that there..
ok im working on fueling next im understanding alot more now then i did when i just just trying to do stage 1 files lol.
(multiply each value by 100 to result in 50%-100%) to use LAMFA, otherwise, the 1% column will be used at ALL requested torque points!
im getting this wants me to up the values so instead of .60 it wants 60?

Once you have all the basics of setup finished, do your initial test drives and logs with the N75 unplugged. The F21's will spike like crazy on the factory K03 boost PID. There will be quite a few changes you need to make to control them. This thread will help point you or anyone else toward getting the N75 back in the game.

ok sounds good i will look into it. basicly there saying to run logs with the tune set to diffrent wgdcs to find what values to add back into pid?
im waiting on fueling to come in when i get that i think well be good to go onto this next step and hopfully ill get some good duty cycle info

If you look up one of my frankenturbo threads, I posted my dimx/drl tables.  These are for a 1.8t, but should be close to what you need.

Edit: you will probably need to increase areas of Q2 as well to prevent overboosting on ramp up.

I will be throwing my injectors and fuel pump in this weekend. Nervous about values for KRKTE and TVUB. using 1000cc ev14. Will post logs n stuff.

might be throwing in the injectors today and running the test file depends on how warm it is after work they will deffinatly be in some time this week though fuel pumps already in did that when snow was still on the ground lol....

I've been following this thread as I got my ko4s on and engine back in the car not too long ago... Been running on stock fueling and a stage two tune that spikes at 21 and tapers to about 16 at redline. I got my 2.0 coils on about two weeks ago and have some bigger IC's I'm installing tomorrow along with a wideband o2 sensor ive been procrastinating on putting in. I did migrate a set of bosch 550cc injectors tonight and was pleased that I was only puling about 2 deg. of timing after initial sorting. Maf sensor is next with the fuel pump. Car has full exhaust with no cats, the ko4s 2.0 coils, the 550cc injectors, and a k&n drop in filter. Looking forward to seeing the progress of this thread.

not gonna lie @soeuroithurts after searching around enough i found those numbers to be working the best. but i have also abandoned tuning my own stage 3 at the moment because i do not feel i understand fueling enough at this time. and i have not had enough time to read and catch up on what i should know to properly do this. i feel stupid saying it but i rather would say it then leave people in the thread wondering what happend. in the future when i understand more i will attempt this again

What are you having trouble with understanding? Is it the relationship between the different maps and how they interact to reach what your final fueling target actually is? Or the actual afr you should desire for different conditions?

Title: Re: community stage 3 2.7t
Post by: S4addict on April 03, 2015, 11:57:07 AM
my current issue isnt even the tune i think the frankenturbos are bad and with only 2500 miles. i can hear them spin like crazy.
i have a leak off the inlets were it connects to the turbos. theres a few things in my way. getting on topic though.
i dont feel i understand fueling enough how they all play into each other to achieve a good afr so the car runs properly the last thing i wana do is lean it out

so im back at it now that its once again warm outside i like the car again haha.. my biggest issue is once its cold i hate everything.
this weekend ill start working on wastegate duty cycle im sure thatll be fun. after that im gonna re read fueling

This is the setup I have at the moment and next on the to do list is a w/m kit. Also need to fix the Pid between 5-6k rpm. Here is a log from tonight temp was about 56 deg outside

MODS: Frankenturbo f21, EV14 635cc @ 4 bars, Rs4 maf, Srm intercoolers, Ssac 3.5'' down pipes, Aero 340 fuel pump, 3 bar map sensor, Jhm b7 rs4 stage 4 clutch kit with lwfw, upgraded mounts all around and innovate mtxl gauge with w/b sensor installed in b1 prim 02 sensor place simulate n/b to ecu & w/b signal output to ecu for logging

Thank you. I'm think about adjusting kfkhfm at around 6-7k rpm to get ps_w more inline with actual boost do you think I should or just leave it as is.

Well done SIR! I think you can leave it alone. Good job!

Maybe pull a bit of timing up top. That is a lot of KR for a cold day. If it gets warm you could run into trouble.

Leave it be. Like Nye said, pull a touch of timing, call it good.

Ok will make adjustments to the timing' I guess that timing was good for about 23psi at which point had next to no kr. Also I'm running 3 bar map and what I saw in my logs with stock kfurl & kfldhbn set to 3.0 was request boost was 29 psi with load corrected being limited.so I smooth kfurl and the limit went from below to above load correct. Next I adjusting kfldhbn down, once it got close to what the boost should be for the load request that's when limiter started to increase,at which point the pr value for a given temp or rpm if it was low cause a increase in boost request and if value was high cause a decrease in request. This is what I did say at 20 deg at 3-4k rpm I have pr value of 2.8, I took same value and applied it in 39 dec colum at 5-6k rpm so that at the temp increase would keep boost request as flat/smooth as possible. Is my logic in doing so correct or make any sense

Dwynell if u dont mind me asking how many times did you test diffrent wgdcs to get ur goal. I really need to get my injectors in so i can start logging my file

It took me a good amount of testing for wgdcs with wastegate cracking at 14 psi. so i adjusted them down to about 11.5 psi and I reduced kfldrl from the 10-80% columns down by about 4 and for kfldimx I made adjustment that it flows smooth like stock map does with increase value between 2-5k rpm.
