There is nothing to "run with".

You need to load the flash that is for the mpc file. The software is one whole.
The flash calls into the MPC and the MPC calls into the flash. If they are different versions, then the calls go in the wrong place and the code is complete garbage.
Completely useless to perform any reversing work.

It's like cutting a car in half, welding a half of another car on and then wondering why the propshaft is not connected to the rear wheels anymore. Because it's in the wrong place and cut through.

Yes, you are correct. But this is good enough for me to begin with, and as long as people are aware of that, it should be good enough for first contact purposes and as a learning kickstart. All the maps and variables I have gone through so far do match as expected (which does NOT mean there won't be eventual discrepancies).

Again, it is unfortunate I dont have the tools to get a full read, but if someone has the file and would like to share, please do Smiley

Tell me exactly what you need and I can see if I have it.

I'm in the same boat - trying to get more fuel on 1.8TFSI Med17.5 ECU with Bosch type HPFP.

We was thinking in making external box, just to invert the signal, because of looking at the FR (page 1890-1891) it seems this is only needed thing.
However guy that we approach for this task tell us he already did such thing years ago and it doesn't work.

So now I rewire engine loom so I can use MED17.1 2.0TFSI ECU with Hitachi HPFP.

If you need full reads from both ECUs I can send them later (on other PC).
I have defined ols projects for 2.0 cars (Hitachi HPFP), and somehow copied most definitions in 1.8 project (Bosch HPFP).

Some information I found interesting, possibly helpful to some.

The PDF within that repository especially so.

https://github.com/najnesnaj/moosesnif/tree/main

There is nothing really of interest there.
Maybe some info about D2 protocol, as it is not too well documented.
But other than that it's mostly how to open VIDA databases and very very basic ECU topology stuff.

If you have 0 experience, by all means, read it, but I think like 90% of it was just analysis of how VIDA works.

Great, thank you very much. Will test soon.

Do you think the Audi lowered RPM on purpose ? Or is it fault ?

Something like that? NLLM & NFSM changed.

Checksums okay.

Hello,

please, can someone check my 8N0 906 018CS ECU flash ? ECU has been replaced, correctly coded into car but still holds very low RPM. Still around 700-740 RPM. Even with active A/C compressor.

I need to know what RPM are set up for idle. I have tried to increase RPM in adaptation via VCDS, but no change.

Its clearly downloaded flash file, no tunes, no updates. Simply stock.

Thank you.
