S8 to b5 swap me 7.1.1 speed signal

Hi does any one know how a d2 s8 ecu would get its road speed signal would it be through can from either the dash or the abs unit? Are there any common pins in other me 7.1.1 cars that would be able to connect to the pulse signal in the dash harness that could work with this? I wonder because the rpm signal from this ecu actually appears to be present and works with my b5 dash.
