Greetings.

I had to swap my car's gearbox since repairing was not a cheap option. The gear ratios are the same except for the final drive. My car runs 225/45R17 tires and the Corsa 215/45R17. Both cars have Bosch ME 7.6.2 ECUs.

I thought about copying over (what I think it is) NVQUOT1O (upper quotient for 1st gear), NVQUOT1U (lower quotient for 1st gear) up to NVQUOT6O, NVQUOT6U for 6th gear values from the Corsa OPC's dump to my Astra's dump. The final drive it's about 6% shorter so I would expect these values to change about 6% but they don't, the change it's much bigger and different from quotient to quotient but I might be wrong by thinking this way.

I need guidance to understand how to recalibrate these values. I guess it would be easy if I knew either which nmot_w or vfzg_w to calculate the upper and lower quotients.

I don't have logging tools but I might be able to source some.

I would say just copy over NVQUOT1U/O through NVQUOT6U/O over from the file whose transmission you used, to the file you have running on your car. That should be close enough for pretty much any application I can think of.

If you're really worried about making sure it's dialed in perfectly, you will need to get logging tools. You would then need to log nvquot_w for each gear from the lowest possible RPMs to the highest possible RPMs and then determine the min and max value for each gear. Each min and max (with an additional tolerance) would then become the value that you place into NVQUOT1U/O through NVQUOT6U/O. It's a lot of work for something I don't really see affecting much.
