VCDS + AEM Wideband Logger
« on: April 19, 2013, 05:56:45 PM »
I coded a tool to make it easy for me logging AFR.
You must connect your AEM Wideband Gauge with Serial Interface to your Notebook.
This tool will only work with German and English/US VCDS Version.
Start the tool over command line
Wideband4VCDS.exe COM4
Replace COM4 with the Comport connected to AEM Wideband.
Now go to VCDS and Start Logfile, the tool will record AFR Values and attach it to your Logfile if you finish to Log.

Innovate equipment communicate with PC and other propietary boxes using ISP (Innovate Serial Protocol). Old stuff uses ISP1 like LM1 and newer ones like LC1, SSI4, LM2 uses ISP2. I have done some research in the past to add some data from Innovate network signal to VCDS logs. Here I left some info that could help you.

Necro-bump here.
Tried to use this today, and get
Waiting for AFR values.."17.1" received.
Waiting for VCDS.exe to start and retrieve PID
Looked at the log, and no AFR values. Seems like it never receives it's info about VCDS.
I'm using legit most recent version of VCDS (16.8.2)
I assume it has to do with VCDS being updated, and the .exe being changed in some way. What version was this created for? I suppose easiest way at the moment is just to downgrade VCDS to an earlier version.
