Hi! i'm looking at the file from a med17.9.3 used in my car, a civic type r fk2 for try to find a way to remove the CAT. The car will be fitted with a cat-less downpipe and the second lambda wil be in place working.

After searching info my first try was to search CDKAT and CDKATSP.

The second one (CDKATSP) it's not used on this ecu or i cannot find it (in damos there's not any map or variable with this name)

Regarding CDKAT i found it at adress 162C96 but it's already at 0 value and on the damos it's 0 too. I thought "0" it was the value for disable it.

Anyone can give me some guidance? Maybe i need to look on another place or values in CDKAT work different for this ecu.

I attach my original file and damos.

Not needed to say that i don't want a "here you have your file" solution. I search some help for learn and do it myself.

Thanks!!!

Nobody?

Someone in another forum modified my file but as i see he zeroed the codewords for second lambda (diag, heater and this stuff), some other codeword that i think it’s for second lambda afr corrections and killed two dtc in class table.

My intention it’s only disable cat, second lambda will be in place and working.

If you are expecting a free solution, sorry thats not how it works here, this is not mhhauto cesspool. If you want a solution in a specific way, read the FR for your ecu logic and make the changes yourself, you wont find anyone here who is going to hold your hand thru the process. Your other option is to pay someone for a proper solution. Besides that enjoy the crickets.

If you understood that i want a free file i don’t know wich person’s post you read. If i wanted this i go and pay.

Simply i asked why cdkat it’s at 0 from factory and any tip on where to look, nothing more. If FR where avaliable for this ecu probably i will not need to open this thread.

Maybe now it’s more clear…

CDKAT is not used on newer MED17 ECU's, the diagnosis is done in another module entirely.
This is not like this just for the Type R, but also for many other vehicles.

Search for cat, and if you don't find the switch, just change the range conditions so that cat diagnosis is never active. E.g. minimum coolant temp to 150C or something else stupid.

For if anyone need it:

Making a fast look at what PRJ said i found the module “Exhmod_o2storgmdl” that looks the module where catalyst oxygen storage capacity it’s measured.

It has some codewords and temperature threesolds i will do some tests here.

TWCD/TWCC is probably what you want, not Exhmod. Just set the disable mask for TWCD and done.
