It seems to me that there isn't a huge difference in this info but in places like the ECU files Forum it be much easier to search and read if there were sub forums for 1.8 and 2.7 stuff or MK4 vs S4. I am not sure what the best method would be but its and idea as I find it very difficult to navigate the files. Or maybe a naming convention for thread titles.

Idk just thoughts.

I agree. Forums like this can be very difficult for new users to find information quickly on and people who have contributed it have to intervene and point people to the links. There would be no harm in creating separate new threads for 2.7T and 1.8T motors because they're by far the most popular for tuning on Nefmoto.

I strongly agree. My situation: I am brand new to this stuff. Brand new. I am downloading all the software and i have read so much stuff on this forum but i want to know more/everything! I have a stock ECU (mk4 1.8T) and i want to tune it myself and learn about it more. Someone PLEASE help me and guide me in the right direction. thanks

Makes sense.

SMF (this forum software) supports subcategories. I think this is something we should bring to Tony's attention.

I hear what you guys are saying. Subdividing the forums into sub-categories can split the community too much though, and you still run the risk of people posting in the wrong forums.

I am planning on doing an update to the website in the near future to integrate searching for files based on vehicle info. Hopefully this will resolve the problem of looking for files for specific cars. It won't solve the problem of discussion threads though.

I've been thinking of sub-dividing the forum based on ECU type, such as: ME7, EDC, MED, etc.

What are peoples thoughts on that?
