So, I lost all my keys to my winter car, an 09 Tiguan 4motion. It's unlocked and I have a few weeks before the snow flies here in Buffalo. I know I could always go to the dealer, or a locksmith, but I wouldn't learn anything that way, plus it's punishment to myself for being an idiot and loosing the keys. What I'm thinking is to get a cheap lock cylinder and key setup from Amazon, and then program one of my extra FOBs (I've had lots of VW's over the years, and I have VAGCOM) to work with the immobilizer. I was told I can't just delete the IMMO as I'll loose some important features like the HVAC, etc and that i need a code to program new keys with VAGCOM Any suggestions other than the dealer or a locksmith?
