Stratified mode in 2.0 TFSI (ea113)
« on: November 26, 2019, 12:41:18 AM »
Has anyone tried enabling true stratified mode of operation in 2.0T FSI engines (MED9.1, ea113, cams driven by belt)?
I've read somewhere that the ECU has maps for running in true stratified mode (ƛ ≫ 1, full-throttle, torque control by fuel quantity), but this mode is somehow disabled likely due to NOx emissions.
However, I wonder if the engine hardware supports this mode of operation (special piston crown shape) and if it is possible to enable that mode on original software at all.
