Hi!

I hope someone has some info about what I am looking for.

I wonder if it is possible to retrofit the longitudinal 0B5/DL501 S-tronic gearbox, in say an Audi B5 chassi and with an 1.8t/2.7t engine. Which components do you also need besides the gearbox and TCU?

Steering wheel and shift paddles?
The main shifter?

Does the S-tronic gearbox share the same bolt pattern as the manual 01A/01E/02X/03A gearboxes?

What about the S-tronic half shafts, might they fit the B5 hubs?

When it comes to the TCU and wiring, I can imagine it is gonna be A LOT of work to get everything to work as it should.

The TCU needs specific canbus messages from the ECU?

I'd suggest you first download an SSP about DL501 and look at how it's actually installed in a B8 chassis car before asking all these questions.

I have no logs because I have a boost gauge (makes things easier)
