Lopey idle/ ghost cam tune
« on: September 06, 2021, 08:18:03 AM »
Anyone here tried making a german v6 or v8 sound like a yank v8 with big cams at idle just with a tune? I had a go in my vr6 by overlapping the cams, but I don't think that is the way to do it.

That's exactly the way to do it.
But I am not sure why you want your car to run and sound like a bag of shit.

Cos it means business at the traffic lights. Unlike the dsg farts every gti owner seems to love.
What about the ignition timing, is that massively retarded too? Since the 90s, the lopey idle on street cars sounds real loud, like explosions, but as soon as the car moves it quietens down. Before the days of efi fuckery, the loudness was the same.

Why not run actual big cams instead of just giving yourself a vacuum leak and telling everyone you have a 3/4 douche cam.
