ida (freeware) version help
« on: May 22, 2013, 12:18:10 AM »
I have read most of the posts in this sub forum and I dont expect to learn ASM overnight but it does interest me and thus I would like to TRY.....
So I dont have $500 lying around for the IDA PRO version and thought I should be able to at least play around with the freeware version 5, so I cant use PRJ's auto script and just need some pointers on getting started.
What I have done so far.
started new project and opened my ecu file from me7logger, now I am stuck at figuring out how to load my flash ontop of the ecu file, please could someone assist in the steps needed to load up the relevant files?

Look at my script in PRJ's thread... its commented a bit better so you can see what it is doing.
you should be able to do everything it does, just by hand.
