I'm starting to get my head around ASM patching and would like to do my first project as a simplified flex fuel setup. I'm currently switching between E30/E50/E85 maps depending on ethanol ratio. I already have the Zeitronix ECA-2 installed and would like to utilize the 0v-5v analog output as a signal to the ECU.

The plan is to create a factor that would multiply with KRKTE depending analog output, as suggested by others on the other posts.

As for timing, I plan to intercept at dzwkg as according to the FR I refer to, it directly adds to zwnws.
I could also create a map like KFDZWKG but instead of lambas axis, it would utilize the analog output.
That way, I could map how much timing to add depending on Ethanol content. That way, I just keep KFZW maps for pump gas.
I know the KFZW route would probably have more control but being my first attempt at ASM, the simpler the better.

Has anyone approached it this way?

Another roadblock I have is how to use the analog output as a signal to the ECU. I've read the flex fuel posts on here and some utilized the rear o2 sensor as input but there are not much information around for it. Also, I am not sure if that is possible for my vehicle (Volvo S40 T5 ME9.0) as our rear o2 only reads up to 1v - it may be a hardware limitation.

Any advice/constructive criticism would be appreciated.
