Using the stock dash display as a data output?
« on: June 21, 2012, 01:08:05 AM »
What kind of communication is there between the stock dash display and the ecu? Anyone thought of being able to reverse engineer a way of displaying information on the lcd display?

The goal of this site is to openly discuss ME7 tuning and promote good practices.

Older systems have 3-wire bus. Newer cars use CAN-messaging, which would need tweaking data packet IDs etc.
