Don't know if this is the right place to ask this but here goes...

I noticed that on some bin files example VW jetta 2.8 VR6 021906018M, that when I select an area in the hex (right window) (16 columns wide) It changes the selection to 12 columns wide and the selection is not right.  I have the A19L700.DAM and A19l7m05.hex, and select the same area in the hex, and it doesn't do it? Is there a setting set wrong or a glitch in the software (WinOls 2.24?)

read the manual

"The assistant “Support map selection” can help you. Activate it with the menu
item “View > Support map selection“. At the beginning nothing will happen
(except it you already had a selection active while doing this. In this case the
assistant will be applied without activating it permanently). If you now create a
selection with your mouse, the assistant will try to optimize it."
