I'm looking specifically for a dump of the ROM/Flash from a VW Comfort Module (CCM.) Ideally a 1C0 959 799, since that's my car's model, but I'm not picky. This is for a reverse engineering project.

Specifically, I'm *NOT* looking for an EEPROM dump. I'm trying to analyze the microcontroller's ROM. The chip is labeled "SC511081CFU", which I think is actually a PowerPC variant. On a later board, a "MB90347AS" chip is used, which appears to be a completely different microprocessor family. There's also a secondary chip by Hella on these boards, either an SIFA or SIFB depending on the model, but I'm not sure that's actually a uC.

This is a pretty niche request I know, but if anyone has or can manage to dump the ROM for these chips I'd be extremely grateful.

Since this is a very old controller, there are chances that if it is flashable, it is BCB/XOR packed.
In that case, locate an SGO (I can not find one for 1C0959799, so it might indicate it is not flashable).

And then use my tool to extract the flash from it:

If you can source a old laptop with a serial port and VDS PRO (DOS program) you can read and write to the CCM using a the serial cable that’s how we done all the CCM mods back in the early 2000s… may still have the 799 files somewhere
