ME7.2 Bosch MAF Scaling (Stock MAF in Bigger Pipe ID).
« on: April 19, 2024, 09:16:05 AM »
Hello, i did fit Stock MAF into 100 mm ID Pipe and would like to Proper* scale it (Because scaled on Factor or Surface Scalars doesnt work well).
Found out so far that best scaling method is by using 4-6th Polynomial Equation.
Made excel sheet with Stock MAF kg/h's and Voltages from the binary then made a graph of it and excel came up with a 5th Polynomial Equation.
Also used LINEST function to find a values of the 5th Polynomial Equation so i can use them.
But now i am stuck how to apply any changes by diameter of the pipe to the equation.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Anyone good at excell ? or i am blind and did mistake somewhere
kg/h's should be the same, polynomial equation is calculated by excel itself based on the MAF Curve but when i re-apply the equation i got different output ...

Ok i've had problem with system separators i guess, after set it up properly to decimal dot instead sheet works now.
Uploading updated sheet and Polynomial Equation seems to work but still i don't know if it is proper scaled if anyone could take a look.
Red KG/h is rescaled by Polynomial Equation based on Stock MAF.
Yellow is adjusted by hand so i could drive the car.
Blue marked cells 230kg/h seems to be my Stable Idle point that i hold on to.
Gonna test Red scaling in car, any help would be appreciated thanks.
