Hi all!

I'm opening this topic bc I have converted my A4 B5 1.8t from stock 8D0907557T or 8D0907558E ECU, which are tuned through chip swapping, to 06A906018AQ ECU form Golf or A3 ECU, which can be tuned though OBD port. I have been successful with it and already have flashed the ecu through the OBD port, but I'm having trouble with DTC stuff because of differences between the cars:

I am getting in the 018AQ ecu a DTC for the ABS module because, as wiring diagram suggests, ECU connects with ABS module through CAN line, where as 8D0907557T or 8D0907558E do not:

18259 - Powertrain Data Bus
P1851 - 35-00 0 Missing Message from ABS Controller

I would want to delete this DTC as it makes no sense for my application and ABS is working just fine, like with the stock ECU.

I've tried to look up for the DTC code in the DTC table I have defined in my A4 tune and Golf tune, but there was nothing metioned as "ABS" but instead I found ASR, which made a bit of sense as ASR (traction control) is made by the ABS module. As you can see in the picture, comparing maps, circled in red is the only difference I found, but zeroing LDCAS in my golf tune did no result...

I also found this thread http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=567.0  from what I understand are three DTC systems: DTC Error Code Class Table, DTC Manufacturer P-codes, and DTC CARB P-codes. But I believe this thread applies to ME7 ecus and that I cannot make the calculations it explains to find the DTC in my case.

Can anyone point me in any direction? I would be very appreciated. Have tried also 018CG file, which is cross flashable and is also defined here pretty well, but same DTS appears and also comes up another one for Missing Message from Airbag module, so it's worse...

Thank you so much.

Best regards

look for "Entprellung Fehler" and set corresponding entries to zero, like  "ASR-Schnittstelle"
It's not the clean way, better would be switching off the ecu demand for ABS message in some configuration byte, I'm still looking for myself.
Any further hint is very welcome.

Hi mate, thanks for you help but zeroing a few more maps like the one you metion did not do the trick. I have certainly not found any more differences in the DTC table that may be related to the ABS system...  I would also prefer to do it the right way as you want, but don't know how I could help or investigate further Sad

The maps in the screenshot below were zero in my AEB tune, but zeroing them out in the AGU tune did nothing and the ABS code still appears. Could anybody give a bit more input on this?

Thank you all

there might be some misdescriptions within your shown mappack (352127),

there are 4 DTC related sections with M3.8.X, all have the same length, in this case: 77x1 (8bit)

"Entprellung Fehler" starts at 06F5B,
"Entprellung Heilung" -> 06FA8,
"Fehler -> Lampe" -> 06FF5,
"Fehlersummenzeit" -> 07042

for example "ASR Schnittstelle" at 17th place:

Entprellung Fehler -> 06F6B
Entprellung Heilung -> 06FB8
Fehler -> Lampe -> 07005
Fehlersummenzeit -> 07052

to deactivate DTC message, usually zero out "Entprellung Fehler"

the crux with the 352127 file description is, there are only 71 described entries,
6 you don't know and more difficult: you don't know where they are located within the 77.

But...try MEESG (Maske Fehler-Signal Steuergerät) at 069E8 (16bit LoHi) as well and zero out

Hi mate, did not get the chance to try your solution as I'm having a few days off but will do so next week. Will keep you posted. Thanks for your help.

BTW: did you ever get to see this thread? http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=15158.0#msg120923

Best regards
