Possible to disable MAP sensor?
« on: July 29, 2012, 01:37:15 PM »
Hi everyone!
So, is there a way to disable MAP sensor with ME7.5? What functions should I look into from funktionsrahmen to accomplish this? Also how ecu calculates boost when map sensor is failing?
Thank you

well.. MAP is mainly used for diagnostics and PID.. so id assume it uses the MAF as primary source for calculating airflow, as it allways does.
above 2550mbar the PID will be blind.. and you will have to rely on wastegate duty cycle.. as per KFLDRL..
might want to raise KFDLULS, KFLDHBN and a few other maps to avoid throwing DTCs when boost raises and the MAP-sensor is pegged at 2550mbar.

max req is just over the map limit with stock OFS
WGDC will generally follow the I limiter if req stays below the map limit in steady state.
