Hi,
I have an Audi A4 B6 with the 1,8T BFB engine.

A few weeks ago, I installed a large FMIC. Now that the weather has gotten warmer, I’m noticing that during full-throttle runs on the autobahn and on the track, I’m having issues with water temperature.
When I was looking for an upgraded radiator, I was told that the B6 usually doesn’t have any water temperature problems at all.
Has anyone here had any experience with this?
Unfortunately, I can’t modify my bumper here in Shitland Germany, because the car would immediately be taken off the road.
The car is running a normal Stage 1 tune with a 200 cell cat.

On the track recently, at 30°C ambient temperature, I saw 115°C water temp after just 5 minutes.

In my opinion, the problem is not in the intercooler, but the fault occurs under high engine load: dirty radiator, or air conditioning condenser, coolant pump, head gasket, and the like.

Although the topic is no longer relevant, I will add a few words:

It should be noted that the temperature arrow in VAG does not show the exact temperature due to the calibration of the instrument panel, so as not to worry the driver. On my car the needle reads 90 in the real temperature range of 70-105. probably when the arrow showed more it was too late and the engine had already overheated. The real temperature can be seen through obd2 (for example VCDS)
