Hi!
I have the original dump,
"audi tt mk1 1998
8N0906018A 0008

hw 0261204898

sw 1037359559

29F800 (not 29F400)".
but the only damos and original dumps I found is the elder 512Kb version.
I wonder if anyone have the 1024Kb damos. :C
Thank you for any help.

Did you see the 29F800 or did your tool tell you this? Anyway the file is doubled...

Yes my tool did wrote it, and I was only able to dump my ECU with mpps on 29F800 layout.
As you said doubled, is there any walkthrough how could I edit the low half and the high half with the 512kb damos?
It would be a charm to make it work with my original dump. Thanks for replying.

Be careful moving forward you don’t want to end up with a bricked ECU. If your ECU is 512kb and you ended up with a 1mb read you messed up that one. There’s already original stock readout of your ECU you should just start with that if you want to do this. I wouldn’t try working with that 1mb read you got there. Anyone else who ended up with 1mb file when they have 512kb narrowband ECU. Learn from this.

I’ve never personally ran into this situation so I have no experience trying to chop up a file that was read incorrectly in order to make it usable but my guess is you would open the 1024kb read in a hex editor, delete the bottom half of the hex where the 512kb binary ends and the exact copy begins again and just delete the copy at the end leaving only the first half of the file. Save it as a new binary and run it thru checksum corrector. But in my experience when customer sends me a file like this I just find a fresh original file to work with or in 95% of cases I already have a tuned file ready to go for them if it’s me7.5 for example I have like 4 different variations of your exact ECU part number and the original just chillin
