Hi everyone,

I'm converting a BAM ME7.5 ECU to run on an engine without an EGT sensor.

I disabled the EGT sensor in ESKONF so the ECU no longer expects the hardware. However, I still want to keep the BTS (component protection) enrichment based on the calculated exhaust gas temperature, similar to how APY/APX software works without a physical EGT sensor.

I copied the BTS-related maps from an APY Euro 3 file into the BAM binary, but I'm not sure if that's enough.

My questions are:

* Is disabling the EGT sensor in ESKONF sufficient, or are there any other switches that need to be changed?
* Besides the BTS maps, are there any other maps or constants that should be copied from APY/APX?
* Will the BAM software still use the calculated EGT model for BTS enrichment, or does it rely on the physical EGT sensor once the sensor is disabled?

I'm trying to keep the factory BTS protection, just without the physical EGT sensor.

Thanks!

I live on turbo pressure—always ready to boost

Offcourse some DTC's, rescale KFLBTS, set KFRLATR to 191,250, CATR to 0 that will do the trick.

Just to clarify, the BTS will still work, just without the EGT sensor, right? Like in the APX/APY?
