Connected to ECU fine, tried different memory layouts and baud rates
Always fails with same msg. Any ideas? After about 20 tries I did see the battery light come on the dash display

Reading ECU flash memory. ECU reports programming session preconditions have been met. Negotiating communication timings. Successfully changed to new communication timings. Reading ECU flash memory failed. Disconnecting because no response was received for the Tester Present message. Disconnected 100% complete. Restoring Windows sleep mode.

There's a more in-depth log file, you should look at it. Might sort out your issues.

Open the nefmoto flasher/logger, click FILE, and OPEN LOG FILE.

Sorry I didnt check the KWP2000 logging window and save the file. I will make sure I do that on my next attempt.
Is it possible that I need to remove the instrument cluster fuse? And I will also put the battery on a charger

Open the log file. It has nothing to do with datalogging, but rather the log of the software's actions.
I've had very little luck getting newer vehicles flashed via OBD with NMFL, I no longer even bother trying.

Is there anything in the log that shows what the issue is? I may try Galileo. Will it help to remove cluster fuse?

Gave up and ordered a MPPS cable, maybe I will have more luck with that

I had an MPPS cable, but never thought to use it. Someone told me how much faster it was, so I tried it (this was when I couldn't get a license for my nefmoto cable). I've been using it ever since. LOVE IT.

Cool, I hope it works I dont like the idea of having to do it via bootmode. BTW can bootmode be done in car? Or do you need to make a harness etc and do it on bench?
