hey all,
I have a 2000 GTI with 1.8T.  ECU/engine are Immo3.  ECU is immo defeated.  I have two clusters.  One is original GTI, and works fine (aside from missing LEDs and not really working MFA.  I also have a passat cluster which looks good, good MFA, and all LEDs work. Passat cluster works just fine, however, i can't communicate with ECU when passat cluster is installed.  Tried flashing it with GTI cluster software, but doesn't change anything.  I'm guessing it's some electrical problem in the cluster.

My question is, is there any way to jumper two pins on the cluster to get my ECU communication back?  My understanding (and this coudl be totally wrong) is that comm comes from K-line on OBD2 port to cluster, then cluster goes out on W-wire to ECU.  could i jumper those two pins together?  Sorry if that's a rediculous thing to even think of doing lol.

Thanks for any help!
