VR sensor location?
« on: September 14, 2013, 12:46:37 PM »
Hey guys, I'm just about to put my engine and transmission back together, 4.2L 40v AWN from a 2001 a6. The transmission is an 01e from an 05 passat (FWD). I've been reading that people have to remount their VR sensors clocked to the original location on the auto transmission when swapping to a 5 speed, but this seemed to reference the 32v ABZ. Is this the same for the 2001 AWN? I don't have an A6 transmission to compare to my 01e, I had thought the VR sensor could just plug in were it does on the FWD trans.
