Hi

Ive put older style coilpacks onto my newer ECU (BAM) and got the engine running, but got a misfire and causing all sorts of issues.

Does anyone know what pins from the ECU match with each coilpack (or ignition amp) for the AGU ecus?  such as pin 95 = coil 2 for example.

Not particularly mate unfortunately.    I need to know what cylinder those pins fire. Sad

Maybe I'm thinking this older coils on newer management is being a pain.

ECU Pins-> Powerstage (donĀ“t really know the name in english)
77->1
70->2
78->3
71->4
GND->5

Powerstage->coil cilinder pin 1
1->coil#1
2->coil#3
3->coil#4
4->coil#2

coil pin2 = GND
coil pin3 = +12V (ignition ON)

Thanks.

I think mines currently right.

I have.

me7.5 ECU pin -> ignition transformer
102-> t5/5
95-> t5/2
103->t5/4
94->t5/1

->T5/3 = earth

This presumes that me3.8 pin is

77 = cylinder 1
70 = cylinder 2
78 = cylinder 3
71 = cylinder 4

I could have 1 and 4 mixed up?

Interesting.   I and a mate thought the AEB and AGU ignition transformers were the same.

I have tried wiring mine up so it was cross (between plug numbers)like the AEB one in top of diagram.  Ill go and check now what it is currently

The ICM (Ignition Control Module) N122 or Powerstage is the same for 1.8T DBC engines, also you can look in the net for 1.8T ICM delete and will find lots of info about this topic and how wiring is.

The 2 there are for 1.8T engines AEB and AGU are different.

I was wiring it in AEB method..hence it was wrong.

Wired it like the above and started it.....sounded sweet as a nut.

However, I do owe you far too much.   Cant beat how happy I am now it runs well.....was going to go on ebay as I was sick of it lol.
