Hi,
I am also looking for an good programmer. Since i do not have any experience with chip programming I do not really know which memory layouts I have to keep in mind while looking for such an programmer.
Heared that the BX40 Bagero II programmer as well as the BX48 Bagero II from Batronix are good programmers, also with very good support concerning updatedes. Which updates should that be? Maybe a regular ugrading of the programmer concerning the chips which are supported by the programmers?
But comparing the Batronix programmers with the here recommended gq3 or 4x, the Batronix programmers are more expensive so I wanted to ask if there is such a big difference which legitimates the higher price?

The biggest price jump is to be able to program 44 pin devices (i.e. 29Fx00) vs <=40

Thx!
So to be safe enough it should be a programmer which is able to handle a minimum of 44 pins, since e.g. an old Passat 3B/3BG for example could have 44 pins, if I am right?
