Ho can any one help me out on info on remapping and data logging my me1.5.5 Ecu. It's in a z20let astra. Just any info or websites to read up on would be great. I'm a mechanic by trade and have a good understanding for what every thing does so just want to have a good read up on whats involved with mapping and data logging thanks

The XDF I provided is for Tunerpro , both are good ,winols more professional but not free

Winols is what you need for the me1.5.5

when i first started i fugured that tunerpro could be used as we were much more familiar with that , as it happens tuner pro is no real use an winols is the way forward .

logging can be done through the obd2  using an innovate LM2 ,the sample rate is pretty slow if im honest but it will get you started

In my country there is no Astra with this engine/ECU (just M1.5.5) but I saw some files and they are pretty much similar to ME7...you can easily use all ME7 "tricks" to achieve good power.

did you try to adapt ecu from corsa c as spare ecu , or work with stock ecu ? second question - what flasher did you use ? obd or bootmode ?

i just edited the software in the stock ECU.
i used MPPS original over OBD. worked fine. but took quite some time to read out original ~25 minutes.

Thanks for the tips ill look in to the innovate lm2. I don't mind spending a few quid on the right equipment. As said im only getting started so all info from you guys is very much appreciated. I've been a mechanic for years now and this is some thing I really want to learn. It's not for any thing commercial just for myself as a hobby. I may pick up another Ecu as a spare but I have other cars to drive if I do mess up.
