I'm looking for any info on how to swap clusters on a MK6 GLI,  I'm being told keys will have to matched to the new cluster.   Is there a work around using VCDS?  Or someone capable of helping?

i know you cant do it with vcds, thats for sure. other then that i dont know much. maybe immo defeat will do it? i think vag commander is the correct way, but like i said, not sure

I tried using my spare ecu which has the Immo defeated,  car wouldn't power up when I push the kessy button.

Possible to defeat the Immo if one exist in the cluster?

KESSEY is going to make things very interesting.  The body control module is also tied to immobilizer. 

The body control module is what switches the relays on to power the rest of the car.  And to readapt immobilizer it will require a trip to the dealer.
