My 1.8t AWT started to run real bad. Choppy, weak and the engine is vibrating. And the yellow engine symbol is also flashing.
I think one of the coils went to heaven.
I shall check for fault-codes with VAG-COM.

So I wonder if I can as a quick band-aid use the TFSI coils?
I know that I need to do some ecu tweaking to run the TFSI coils at optimal. But I feel that even that is little beyond my ability at the moment when it comes to tweak the ECU.

So can I use them anyway without too much problem?
I need to fix the car as soon as possible.

Okey, I really hope the dealer near me have 1.8t coils. I don't wanna here them say they need to order a set and I have to wait several days. I must have the car up and running before the weekend.

Yeah, I have also read about people that run the TFSI coils without changing anything in the .bin file.
Not optimal in the long run but seems to work.

Why I ask about the TFSI coils is because it might happen to be that the dealer do not have the OE 1.8t coils in stock, but they do have TFSI coils.

I really need to get my car fixed ASAP and that's why I wonder if I could run TFSI coils instead as a quick, desperate band-aid solution.

I already have the adapters for the valve-cover. Because I have already planned to run with TFSI coils and the correct change in the software sometime in the future. (When I feel I know what I'm doing with changes in the software)

I got lucky, the dealer had 4 new OE coils. Two of my old ones was bad so I changed them all.
