Hello Everyone, Im here desperately to learn to take care of my Soul ( Fiat Punto 1.3 MJD).

I live in india and im ashamed to say that people over here don't have time to listen and correct the problem with a car.

Check engine light came up 4 months back and when ever i take the car to the service center they do something and the light goes off and after 30 mins drive the light came up again, this happened couple of times and during this issue her performance was not good, when reviving over 3000 rpm she struggled a lot and the mileage was dropped by 50% and a lot of UN burned fuel in exhaust, i tried several service centers in the last 3 months none of them paid attention they connected a obd device and showed on laptop that all is good.

Then i thought its time for me to learn, i purchased the Vgate icar bluetooth obd device and torquepro/lancia/multiecu scan free version software and started my research and after several hours i came to know that there is a problem with EGR, with the help of a near by mechanic we cleaned the EGR unit and i took her for a spin, her performance is back online. the problem is the EGR unit got opened all time due to clogging of diesel exhaust and not responding to the ecu's signal ( service people haven't touched the unit in all services which they were supposed to clean).

Im here to understand about ECU and its function and analyzing the data and once familiarized, i would like to tune her for my taste with different maps.

I request members to support me as i'm very new to this part of the world, this part of the world ( Automobile Engineering and the electronics that control the machines) has attracted me a lot and planned to stay here and probably switch my field of work.

Please suggest me a good OBD device to communicate with NefMoto Software.
Thanks,
Lakshmanan.PL
